Las Vegas

David, the kids and I went to Las Vegas this week. My Mother in Law is living out there with my Brother in Law for the time being. My MIL is from Colorado and normally lives 2 miles from us, but she has been dealing with some lung issues and other health stuff and seems to be better down in lower altitude. We had a scare with her right before our trip. David went to see her by himself. She was feeling extremely tired and wasn't doing so great. We are hoping this is due to her medications being a bit off. When the whole family went, she seems to be doing better.

This trip was a great "trial run" for our next trip later this summer. We will be going to Indianapolis to visit with my family and then driving to Myrtle Beach. We feel like pros getting through the airport with two kids now.

We did a tiny bit of sight seeing while in Vegas. We took the kids to the Mirage to see the dolphins and white lions and tigers. We ate at Planet Hollywood inside the Caesar's mall. We attempted to see the butterfly pavilion inside the Bellagio, but unfortunately it was under construction. I also got to see my great Aunt Sandra and Uncle Henry while I was out there too and that was a treat as it had been awhile!

The Bellagio - David's favorite hotel. Not sure which one is my favorite. Will have to go back to find out!

The Mirage's Secret Garden

Chihuly artwork and world's giant chocolate fountain of the Bellagio. Yes, I wanted to break into the fountain and drink it!

I was just going to ask whether you got to see the pretty glass ceiling in the Bellagio, and then there was a photo of it. :) We stayed at the Mirage when we were there. I'm not really a Vegas person though.

I hope David's mom does better with the altitude change. Seeing family always helps.
