Okay, I knew this would happen. The cravings are setting in. I really really want something sweet. I'm having a rough day with the kids (no napping took place with Lily). I'm feeling uninspired and bored. I feel like every day is the same as the last with my kids. I really need some more activities for the kids. I have nothing planned this week except two 30 minute swim lessons for Lily and then her school on Friday. That should probably be enough, but it just isn't today. I would love if I were "creative Mom" and had fun projects to do with them every day - just don't have the ideas, nor the tools nor the supplies.
I also need to get over my fear of going out of the house with both kids and no help from David or a friend. I can handle going to someone else's house for a playgroup, but the park scares me and any place where we wouldn't be able to park ourselves scares me. I feel like it would be overwhelming with two kids. I'm sure in a few months I'll think this silly. It's just where I am right now.
Man, something sweet really sounds good right now!

Can you have some naturally sweet snacks? A smoothie? Greek yogurt with granola?
It'll get easier taking both kids out as you get used to it. I had no idea how I'd do it, but I did. Now I have no idea how I'll do it with three. :) Get used to it before Jack is mobile though -- after that, it's a whole other can of worms!
Hey Jen, keep up the good work! When we were doing the South Beach diet (ie before we moved here to the land of terribly expensive meat and veggies), I ALWAYS found that, when we started up again, days two and three were the toughest.
I think you'll find that, if you stick with it, you'll first lose your cravings...and then if you stick with it you'll find that your cravings will actually change.
That part was the best! Actually CRAVING some broccoli! :)
