Okay, I knew this would happen. The cravings are setting in. I really really want something sweet. I'm having a rough day with the kids (no napping took place with Lily). I'm feeling uninspired and bored. I feel like every day is the same as the last with my kids. I really need some more activities for the kids. I have nothing planned this week except two 30 minute swim lessons for Lily and then her school on Friday. That should probably be enough, but it just isn't today. I would love if I were "creative Mom" and had fun projects to do with them every day - just don't have the ideas, nor the tools nor the supplies.
I also need to get over my fear of going out of the house with both kids and no help from David or a friend. I can handle going to someone else's house for a playgroup, but the park scares me and any place where we wouldn't be able to park ourselves scares me. I feel like it would be overwhelming with two kids. I'm sure in a few months I'll think this silly. It's just where I am right now.
Man, something sweet really sounds good right now!

30 Days San Sugar
I kept telling myself I'm going to do this. And now...I'm doing it! I'm going to go 30 days without sugar. My rules? No sweets/treats or anything with more than 6 grams of sugar in the ingredients. I am allowing myself all fruits and that will be the sweetest thing in my diet. Let's see how this goes. I got inspired by watching Oprah and seeing that Jenny McCarthy is doing this as well. Yes, I know, I watch Oprah and do lots of things because of her show, but hey, a lot of what she suggests to read and do are quite positive! Gotta get inspired somewhere!!
I will blog on here for the next 30 days to keep me inspired!!
Day One: Today is easy as I'm still excited. We'll see how tomorrow goes. I only added a tiny bit of vanilla to my latte this morning. It's technically sugar free, but I want to get off of fake sugar too. Tomorrow, no vanilla!!
Question: Should agave nectar and Stevia be off my list too?? Not sure yet....

Another week, another week
The last several weeks have felt about the same. Nothing too new going on in our lives. David and I are fighting colds currently, but we are getting better and I am hoping tomorrow to feel like myself again. Lily is almost done with school. She only has two more weeks left! She is also taking 6 more lessons of swimming. This summer I plan on attending playgroups and going to the park often to keep her busy.

I got my hair trimmed this week too! I asked for more layers. I like it!

Just living life
Nothing too much to blog about lately. Just living our lives right now. It's more of a routine these days. Jack is sleeping about the same times each day and that helps. He even slept 7 hours straight last night!! Sometimes I'm lucky and Lily and Jack will nap at the same time! I just got the Twilight series from my friend and I'm thinking of starting it soon. I have another book to read for bookclub and I believe I should read that first as I know Twilight can be addicting!

Colorado's weather has been crazy. These pictures were taken last week when the weather was quite nice. Lily was out playing with water (Jack in the shade hanging out). Izzy came over and the girls played with bubbles! Today, we had snow on the ground.

Lily with her Mickey ears (used to be David's obviously).
The messy face was dinner tonight. This is a combination of tomato soup, peanut butter and jelly toast, a kiwi and chocolate cake.

And Mr. Jack!

My Saturday
My Saturday turned out really well. It didn't start off so hot. David had to do some work and went in at 6am. I figured he'd be there for a good portion of the morning and possibly into the afternoon. I'm used to David being here to manage the kids in the morning with me. I prepared for getting the kids ready all by myself. It was a bit of a challenge, but I did it. I was due to meet up with my friends Cat and LaRain for breakfast around 9:15am. They were scheduled to get pedicures afterwards. Since I had the kids, I told them I could only do breakfast. I started the process of getting the kids ready around 8:45am and with many missteps (spilled drinks, cleaning up food on the floor, and a new outfit for Lily as she somehow got water all over herself) I finally left around 10 after 9 o'clock. I noticed that my car was very very low on gasoline and considering it was snowing outside, I decided I better tank up. I finally arrived at the restaurant around 9:30. I guess not too bad for all the craziness. Once at the restaurant, I realized I hadn't left David a message that we were out. I pulled out my phone and called David. Right as I called, David walked into the restaurant! He got off work much earlier than expected and he came to get the kids so I can get a pedicure too! Thanks David!!! This really lifted my spirits. I was feeling a bit blue the last few days. Just feeling overwhelmed with Motherhood and feeling like I hadn't had a break from it for a long time. This was just what I needed. Some pampering and girl friend time.
Another treat came along when the kids both slept at the same time for almost 3 hours! David and I actually got to have an adult conversation. I miss my husband and our chats! So, today was a good day despite my pessimism about it this morning.
Here are some fun pictures we took of the kids...

Lily had her first "owie" on her toe. I think the bandaid lasted maybe 5 minutes?

Floor time!

Hanging out on the couch.
