Easter 2010 and the Chicken Pox

Easter was laid back this year. We had a nice waffle and strawberries breakfast in the morning and took a nice walk through Garden of the Gods (I only got a little bit lost) in the afternoon.

Jack found his basket right away - I was pretty easy on him this year.

Lily finding her basket...

Lily came down with the Chicken Pox this week. We found these spots on her face on Easter Sunday. I first thought it might have been an allergy to either the candy or strawberries she had eaten that morning. She went to the doctor on Monday and the Doc confirmed chicken pox. She has been immunized and even had a booster at 2 years old. The Doc said some kids do get "breakthrough" chicken pox. This case was very mild and really, no complaining from Lily's end. She did have a fever the Thursday before Easter, but Lily said nothing was hurting her, she just wanted to rest and sleep a lot. I wish we had the vaccine when I was a kid.

Just some shots from this week. Jack can say "cheese" now when you take his picture.

Lily loves to play soccer in the house with our beach balls. I'm thinking I may have to sign her up for a soccer team!

Jack loves peanut butter sandwiches! I know, I know, I'm not supposed to give him peanut butter until age 21. But, we have no known food allergies in our family and Lily got peanut butter at age 15 months too and she is just fine. Hear hear to peanut butter!

Look at Lily's tiny soccer feet! I've been thinking of a team, too, but I think Elise may not be a team sport player. We're doing gymnastics for now.

I didn't wait on the PB either. 12 months for Elise and I think even earlier for Charlotte. And I ate it while breastfeeding for Charlotte and Margot, too. We love our PB. :)
