Toast

My newest project on my needles is this. They are called "toast". I thought this would be nice to have on those cold days when you need a bit more warmth and still need the use of your fingers. This is a very easy project for those of you still learning to knit.
Right now I'm working on knitting faster. I still knit in the "English fashion". My hands feel awkward knitting Continental style. I am practicing a row here and a row there with Continental. Continental is known as a faster method and I hope to master it soon.

I thought I was done with my big cozy couch blanket, but my husband informed me he would like it larger - so still crocheting away on the blanket. This is a great project while watching the Olympics!

I've been wanting to make some of those toast things for a couple years! I'm scared of in the round for some reason. The only thing I've knitted is one scarf over a year ago.

It is intimidating at first. Perhaps do one more scarf and then give the "Toasts" a try. For this project you just have to know how to cast on, knit and cast off. The first joining row is the hardest part of double pointed needles. Once you get going, it's fairly the same as regular knitting. Too bad we don't live closer - I could help you!
