I know some of you are wondering why we are in the hospital. Jack got admitted yesterday after his Doctor's visit. I took him back to the Doctor's on Friday (he was there on Wednesday) as his cough just wasn't getting better. He was diagnosed with RSV and the doctor highly highly recommended we admit him to the hospital to ensure it doesn't get worse or turn into anything else (pneumonia).
So, it's been a rough ride and I'm dead tired, but we are doing okay. Jack is on oxygen and with just a tiny bit of oxygen, his pulse-ox is in the normal range. They tried taking him off the oxygen early this morning, but the pulse-ox dropped below 90 (they want it between 90-95 or higher), so back on the oxygen he went. We will probably be here tonight as well.
Send us healthy wishes. This has been hard on David and me emotionally and physically, but we are getting by. I just hate seeing sick children. It's doubly hard when it's your own baby.
I'll give an update when we get back home.

I'm sorry to hear this! :( Poor Jack. And I know it isn't easy on you guys either. I hope his body kicks that virus out asap! I'm glad he has the docs+nurses looking after him at the hospital though. Take care!

As you know, this is exactly what we went through with Micah in December although at 8 months old, he was certainly older than Jack is now.
I'm so sorry you are all going through this. You are doing exactly the right thing though and getting him the best care. Hang in there and if there is anything we can do, don't hesitate to let us know.
