David worked really hard yesterday painting and putting together a crib for Baby #2's room. Here is a sneak peak.
I'm in love with blue and brown together. Just hope the little one really is a boy!! David came up with the idea of stripes and they turned out great! It's a good thing he is a perfectionist. I am not and would probably have had some interesting "vertical" stripes had I been the one to paint.
This room used to be green and we called it "the green room". If you click on the picture, you can see the green on the insides of the window. We are debating if we make that blue or white. Bye bye "Green Room"
Unfortunately the crib was not what we thought. The side railing doesn't come down and with me being a bit shorter, I'm not sure if that will work out for my back. I'm debating on contacting Target to see how we'd return something we already put together. If anyone had a crib out there and didn't lower the sides at all, let me know how that worked for you!

By the time that we had Averie, the side rail of our none-too-fancy crib was stuck in the up position...so I've been there! When they're newborns, you generally have the mattress up pretty high, so for me that wasn't a big deal. What got difficult was attempting to put down a larger baby...even with all attempts to lay my stomach on the side of the crib to help support my back, there were definitely some "OH MY BACK!" moments! I don't know...if you have a bad back, I just can't say that I recommend it. But, if you really love the crib, you might want to lower the mattress, and attempt to put a "baby" to sleep in it...try with and without a stepstool, etc.
Hope that helps!
