Head Banger

The last two weeks have been quite challenging for us. We all had a round of being sick. Jack still can't eat anything too rich, or he throws up. We are sticking to a plain diet for him for now. Also, Jack has started banging his head when frustrated. He's done this in the past with little damage. The other day, Jack didn't want to take a nap. He desperately need to rest, so I put him upstairs and figured I'll let him cry for a bit and see if he falls asleep. While doing this, I heard "bang bang bang". I thought he was kicking the crib with his feet. Well, I was wrong. He was banging his head on the side of the crib. Today he looks like he got the snot beaten out of him. It makes me cry when I really think about it. I tied tshirts all around the outside of his crib in hopes to prevent further damage. I just hope this is a short-lasting phase.

The next day. We did take him into the Doc and he is okay. Apparently, the face tends to bruise easily and swell easily. Poor little guy.

If anyone has ever had a child who banged his head - any advice would be appreciated!

First and Last

I can't believe how big Lily got this school year. This is her first day and last day of school pictures.

5 Years

Today is David and my 5th year anniversary. Happy 5 years David! We have accomplished quite a bit in these 5 years and I'm grateful for everything we have. We have a spectacular life. Even through all the bumps in the road, I'd choose David again and again. Love you Bun!

Today is also my good friend, Christine's birthday. She was one of my bridesmaids and shared her birthday with our wedding day. Thanks again sista!

I can't look

Since Lily was a very tiny baby (okay, not very tiny...but small enough), David has been throwing our children around like circus balls. Sometimes I can't look. I did take these pictures for proof, and yes, they were hard to take.

The car seat blanket for Bonnie? check!

I mentioned I was making a blanket for a friend who was pregnant, due in November. Well, my friend is my sister, Bonnie. She wasn't mentioning her pregnancy quite that early, so I had to be vague. I finished the blanket this week. Bonnie - I'll be mailing this out to you early next week!


This little cutie is Jack's favorite friend, Zoey. We had playgroup today and Jack was quite excited to see his BFF.

I love the hugs. Jack is very affectionate and I love it! Still not loving the bottle - a work in progress.


Lily went to do the dentist early last month. She did great! Yes, it took me this long to download the photos. :)
