In and Out and Orange Safety Shorts

In and out...Lily's newest "thing" is coming in and out of our back porch area. Of course this is only done with high supervision and when it's warm enough to have an open door.

These are Lily's mango "Thirsties" diapers. David calls them her Orange Safety Shorts. Yea, I think they do glow in the dark! ha ha

This weekend went by fast. Yesterday I had lunch with the girlfriends and forgot my camera. Oh well! We went to Giuseppe's in downtown Colorado Springs. I had their artichoke lasagna and it was delish! We also all shared their chocolate cake and man, that was good too!

Last night we had my inlaws over for dinner and David made ribs. I realized I am not a big ribs fan. I think the meat is just a bit too fatty for me. This is a big move for me to be eating more and more meat. Back in college I was a vegetarian for a short time. Then I moved to only eating chicken and fish. Now I venture out into eating pig-items. I'm still not a fan of beef. Not sure if I ever will be.

Today is a bit of a lazy day. Just doing some light cleaning around the house and hanging out with the family.

Can you say busy?

Sorry I haven't been so great at blogging the last few weeks. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming to be mother, wife, employee, friend, housekeeper, laundry mat lady, etc etc.
The last few weeks have been busy for our family. We had to install a new furnace and water heater, got the carpets cleaned professionally (I'm sitting on the couch in my kitchen due to wet carpet).
Some fun things are coming up for me though. I am going to Indiana in June ALL BY MYSELF for my sister's bridal shower. I also may go to Kansas City to see my friend, Amy for a weekend!

Today, Lily will be hitting "My Gym". It's a spot for kiddos where they can run around, climb, etc. She loves it there! I go through a local Mommy group and it's only $5 for the hour session.

Daddy styled Lily's hair. Hey, at least it's getting thick enough to look funky!

Giving out the love to Daddy.

From the Ground Floor

Lily and I were hanging out on the floor yesterday. She was being very sweet with her hugs.

Lily was playing with David's coffee tamper. She will be our newest barista!

Trains

Lily's Nana and Abuelito (my parents) are here in town for a few days. Friday we took the train to Glenwood Springs and returned on Saturday (short trip!). It was about 5 hours up and back. Lily was surprisingly very good on the trip.

At the station in Denver. It was *very* early in the morning - can you tell by Lily's expression?
