Welcome Ian!

My friends Melanie and James had their little boy on December 12th.
Ian Gregory!
7lbs 10oz
21 inches

Melanie was expecting Ian to be a girl (was going to be named Jillian), but were surprised to find out Jillian was really Ian! David and I went to the hospital to bring some gender neutral clothing for Ian (I remember seeing Melanie's nursery closet full of pink; so hopefully we can round up some more boyish clothing). Tomorrow we plan to bring them some dinner. I had a few folks bring dinner to us and I remember that being so helpful!

Congratulations Melanie and James! Welcome to the wonderful world of parenthood!

Decorations and Snow Days

David and I put up our Holiday decorations this weekend. We got a very tiny tree as we will be spending most of our holiday in Indiana.

This weekend we got some snow. This is our view from the back porch.

Heaven, Walker and Cutie

While getting ready to go to a playgroup last week, I made myself a coffee. I was able to make good foam again! Perfect coffee in a perfect cup!
A few weeks ago we got Lily a walking toy. She likes to play with the gadgets more than actually walking.

Just thought this was a cute picture.

Big Girl, Amelia Studio, Vicks and Happy

Yesterday as Lily was eating her lunch, I thought to myself; "Where is my baby?" She looked like a little girl to me.

Love my new coffee cup and coffee cozy sleeve? I plan to use this sleeve instead of the cardboard sleeves you get at certain coffee shops. I got this at Amelia Studios via Etsy. This is my friend Amy's creation. Please stop by her shop and support her little business! She only has a few items left; so hurry hurry!
Ames, I love your creativity and your artistic abilities! I look forward to seeing more items posted at your shop!!

Okay, I am not one to hang onto things. I am the opposite of a pack rat. If I haven't used something in more than a year. It's outta here. I cannot stand old clutter. However, I realized that I have had my jar of Vicks VapoRub for about 20 years now. I can almost bet this jar on the left was from the '80s. I only use Vicks when I have a cold and have a hard time breathing (fought another darn cold last weekend). This jar is almost done, so I picked out a new one. Boy, what a change! The old jar is made of glass and the new jar is plastic. I smelled both jars and the older one has more of a punch to it. Sometimes things just don't change for the better.

Lily's newest thing is raising her hands up and looking to us to yell "Happy!" hee hee

Santa

Earlier this week, Momma Cat, Baby Isobel, Lily and I were at the mall and guess who was there? Santa! There was no line, so we jumped in! Lily loved Santa and did a good job with taking pictures.
